This was Parent’s Weekend at UT Austin! I spent Saturday morning volunteering at a Family Day Information fair held by the College of Natural Sciences. I represented the Marine Science graduate program at the Marine Sciences table. It was fun to talk to current undergrads and their parents. A lot of little siblings came along too. The younger kids were very interested in the scale model of the R/V Katy– the Marine Science Institute’s 57ft educational vessel that launches from Port Aransas.

My favorite part of the day was holding a human brain at the neuroscience booth!
